Location: Charleston, SC | When someone says straight wall that means that the LQ is the same length on both the head (or street side) and the butt (or curb side). Usually it's either a straight load trailer or it's a slant load trailer with a mid tack or also called a mud room that is straight on the LQ side and slanted on the horse side that looks like a pie shape. The reference to a short wall is on a slant load trailer with an LQ that the wall dividing the horses from the LQ is also on a slant. The long wall on a slant load will be 4' longer than the short wall. IE...short wall LQ of 10' will have a 14' long wall. The short wall will always be on the head side.
