Location: Kingston, Ontario		I have recently looked at a 2004 Cherokee that has the 2 mounted propane tanks under the gooseneck. The connection appears to be rusted. Is this a sign of trouble? Shouldn't most connections and tubing be non rusting (anti corrosive?)I am inexperienced with LQ trailers, asnd don't want to buy a problem in the makeing......

Any rusting, except on decorative art work is trouble.  The key is how much rust, where, and how deep.  Without inspecting the item, it's impossible give you a fair answer.  Propane componets are made of aluminum, steel, brass, zinc, and other alloys.  All can be corroded in some situation .  (Stainless steel is too expensive for general use) Even stainless will corrode in some situations.

You need someone qualified  or experianced to look at it for you.

Location: Chillicothe, Ohio		A few trailers I have seen use black iron piping to run along the bottom of the trailer. This is acceptable, if thats what it is it will rust on the outside, but its thick and should still be ok to use. There should be a flexible hose connection to your tank.
