    Location: Tenn/Ala. | In my opinion, when this is done it is usually on a 10+ year old trailer, and it is planned that the overlay can get us another 10 years. By that time, given the first issues, generally acceptable lifespan has been reached. Yes- I've seen it done where drain holes were drilled in the bottom floor (there were probably plenty already, hence the overlay :) ). And keeping any urine out of there would certainly be the ideal, it just doesn't seem very realistic given any flexing from driving and horses shifting their weight.
