Have an equalizer single leg hydraulic jack on my horse trailer. It works to raise the trailer up, but will bleed down and not hold it up at all. There are no visible leaks, so I assume it's a blown seal inside or a valve not functioning properly.
Does anyone have any idea what part I would need to replace to get it to hold weight again? Anti creep valve? Directional valve?
I've contacted Equalizer as well, waiting to hear back, but it doesn't hurt to tap all the resources I can.

Likely a valve is leaking by. The piston seal is unlikely since the fluid volume is constant yet the rod collapsing increases the volume. So by deduction, a valve is allowing fluid to return. The valve could be the pump check valve or the directional valve.

It was the cylinder, seal gave out and the cylinder was bypassing.
Problem is, they don't make these cylinders serviceable. It had to be cut apart, seals/rings replaced, and then welded back together. It's back in the trailer and functioning properly. The $181 cost to fix was much better than the $600-ish they wanted to replace it.
