| I have a 2019 4Star 2+1 runabout, purchased new in Feb 19 that has no 12v power. It had power until about 3 weeks ago. I have power at the block where the wiring splits to the breakaway battery and the rest of the trailer. Before I start checking every connection ( 2 load lights, 2 fans, 2 interior lights and 1 tackroom light ) has anyone had this problem. I did check the first connection at the access point in the gooseneck where the main wiring connects to the rest of the trailer and all connections are taped and seem secure
My dealer is 7 hrs away and i have the ok from 4Star to check wiring.

| Hi, Thanks for the reply but as I noted in the post I have power to a point in the trailer and I've been advised there is no inline fuse . |

| I am sure that somewhere some trailers have a fuse. But in a non LQ, I have owned Sundowner, Exiss, Sooner, Kiefer, Elite, Delta, and probably some others and none of them had any fuses anywhere in the trailer. For your problem, I'd start at that junction you mentioned with a test light backprobing connections and moving from the front of the trailer towards the rear to see where it drops out. There will be one line, that runs from that box to the back with each of your lights pulling off of it somehow. Somebody @ 4 Start could probably help explain how it is wired, but most of the manufacturers are closed this week I'm told. |

Location: Michigan | Check the fuse in your tow vehicle. We had the same problem once before and it was due to the fuse in the truck, not the trailer itself. |

| Thanks. There is no fuse as per 4 star and I have power to a point as stated in the post but more was looking for common issues before I tear it apart.
*** update ***, trailer worked fine after jiggling the wiring connection where it comes out of the main harness and ties into trailer wiring. Guess I know where it is now. Thanks all for the replies. |

Location: Valentine, NE | Always start with the ground wire. Depending how you grounded the test light when you check for power on the junction box could complicate things. Try to ground the test light to the ground wire itself, not the steel/aluminum on the trailer. Most times, it is a corroided ground wire connection where it is connected to the trailer coming from the junction box....
Also, was the trailer hooked up or just the plug when you checked it? Back to the ground issue, it could make a difference. And as other said, no fuses downstream from the junction box on the 12 volt trailer system. Good luck. |
