| For those with LQ that have this type of windows, is it ok to open them on a regular basis for ventilation? Are they hard to put back? Sounds silly, but I’ve been scared to do it on my Lakota and I’ve had it for over a year, lol |

Location: Washington | We open the exit window on our Lakota. There's no issue with doing so. I will say that with the way the window is set up, getting it to stay in the open position is a little tricky. |

Location: Calgary, Canada | This can be done but use caution. When we bought our LQ second hand, the previous owner told us about her experience with using the emergency exit windows for ventilation.
The owner had a friend camping with her. The friend used the emergency exit windows for ventilation without her knowledge. When the owner took the trailer down the road, one of the windows fell out, broke and had to be replaced. It turned out that the friend did not close (secure) the window and it turned out to be an expensive camping trip.
Leaving a normal window open when travelling down the road has little chance of causing much damage. Leaving the emergency exit window open does! |

| But it depends on your ventilation system. My friend has a cheap one, so he can't use his emergency window for ventilation or so. Unfortunately, affordable models are limited in many ways. When I set ventilation in my home, I hired air conditioning installation engineers. Regarding the trailer, it can't be done. But as I know, custom versions are not that costly, so you can try them. I'm planning to rebuild my trailer. I will probably change my ventilation system too to not have the need to open emergency exit windows. I will create a dedicated thread will my progress.
