| I have a 2 horse gooseneck trailer. It says on the tag, gvw,, I guess that means loaded, 12,700 lbs. It has st 225 75 15 tires on it. I need to get taller tires but all I can come up with is 235, don''t they use anything taller, or what can i do.

| thanks so much for answering. The trailer has 225 75 15 trailer tires on it now. I can not get in level on my truck enough to get clearance on the truck sides. I can't raise the gooseneck any higher to level it becasue the weight would go to far on the back of the trailer. I just need tires that will fit the hubs I have, they are 6 of them and be taller to set the trailer up highter. Then i can lift the gooseneck up by dropping the tube down farther. I hope you can understand my mess here. Need taller tires

| I know now that the 225 is not the height. Just want to get this trailer off of the bed rails.  |

Location: Harrisburg, OR | If there's enough clearance under the wheel wells you could go to a 16" wheel and tire. Depending on how much clearance you're trying to gain that may or may not solve your issue. |

| there is a little over 3 inches between the wheel well.
Will a 16 inch 6 bolt wheel pattern fit on the hub, its 6 bolt pattern too?

Location: Zionsville, Indiana | 6 bolt pattern is the same on 15" and 16" wheels. I would be a little concerned about whether the 235 tires would be enough wider that they might rub the frame. Also, some 16" 8 bolt wheels are offset 1/2". You need to check the 6 bolt 16" wheels to be sure you get a 0 offset, just in case |

Location: North Carolina | I think you'd want to block the trailer axles instead of changing tire size. You'll have to change 6 tires and wheels. The difference in trailer height will be a lot less than blocking the trailer.
Blocking the trailer is placing spacers between the axles and trailer to increase the trailer height. I've done this to my trailer to get an additional three inches.
If you insist on changing tires... check the difference between the 225 75 r 15 and a 225 85 r 15 tire. The 75 / 85 is the aspect ratio or how tall tall. |

Location: Minnesota | You may well need new tires as they should be replaced every 5 years. That will not correct your problem of keeping the trailer level and off the truck bed. Find a good shop and block the axles at least 3". I paid $300 a few years ago and we travel 15,000 + miles a year with no problems. |
