Location: Cornfield in Iowa | Just bought a new to me trailer and the fridge will not flip to electric when i have the trailer plugged in. When we went to look at it, fridge was on and it was running on electric. Get it home and it will not switch from gas. I even closed both bottles and then ithe check light came on. What could be the problem? P.S.....it works great on LP, I just don't know why it won't flip when it's supposed to.

Location: Rayne, LA | I know mine has a switch that says gas, electric and auto. If not in the auto position you will have to manually change it to what ever you want. Some say they don't leave it in the auto position because if it runs out of propane and in not plugged in to shore power, that is when the trouble ( fire ) starts because of trying to start on propane then swithching to shore power then back to propane, etc. Maybe someone else can chime in with more insight. | Also weak/bad batteries will do funny things to the fridge controls. Even though your hooked up to shore power the controls still need 12v to work, so have your batteries checked, another thing to check if you 100% positive the batteries are good do you have the battery cut off switch off? |

Brand new batteries and everything else is working on 12V. Do not have the cut off switch on. We checked the internal fuses in the board and they are good. Thinking maybe the board is shot.

| The fridge will have an actual plug, that powers the 110V portion. Make sure that plug is operating. If it isn't, the fridge won't see any AC, and won't change. That plug is often on a GFI located somewhere in the trailer. |

| The plugs usually in the side of the trailer where all the vents and and control boards are for the fridge. Good point about the plug I chased a bad fridge on our old living quarters forever, turns out the plug wasn't even plug in ?? |

Location: Cornfield in Iowa | Nope, it's plugged in. Printed off the manual Beeoerdog sent and hubs is going to test the circuit board and heating element. The place we bought it was having issues with their power when we were looking at it and we're thinking maybe the board got shorted out.
