Location: Waaaaay back Slaughter Hollow | I am thinking about replacing the incandescent bulbs with LED bulbs both inside and out. From what I have read online I would not have to swap out fixtures or light assemblies themselves- just the bulbs. Anyone else do this? Positive or negative experiences?
There are a couple things I would like to achieve with this switch. Inside, I would like the light to be brighter as well as the bulbs cooler. Outside, I am interested in brightness. I have one marker light on a fender that I swear is always out when I am in the driver's seat, but it is actually on and just not very bright.
Thanks for your help! |

Location: Rayne, LA | I had it done and like it for the same reasons you stated. In the horse area I had to change the fixtures because the lenses were "foggy". |

Location: Belchertown MA | I swapped all my inside ones out and went from drawing 23 amps to 3 amps with main lights on, really saves batteries. Got them all on E-bay pretty cheap just search for type of bulb base you have, G4, 1156, etc. There are different brightnesses so make sure you get what you want. I had LEDs on outside already but you may have to swap fixtures outside as most are sealed units. |

| Yes I've done it, just swap out bulbs.
The lights will be brighter and will draw less current from your batteries. |

Location: Rayne, LA | ?There are many different sellers of LED bulbs, Just put in your old bulb number and "LED". Is this what you are asking? |

Location: Wentzville, MO | There are many good reasons to swap out the existing incandescent bulbs for LED's- less power draw, more brightness and longer life.
In many cases you can simply swap out the bulb, unless the lamp is sealed in which case you'd need to replace the lamp itself.
