I am thinking about shopping for a black trailer, to get away from trying to keep a white one clean and without the black streaks. Anyone out there have a black one and would I be better off staying with the white? Any drawbacks? What about the heat? Are they any hotter?

We own an Elite 3H LQ that has black sides and don't find sun related heating to be a problem. But we live and travel mostly in the upper mid-west. Someone located in the deep south might find it to be otherwise. The roof is not black and some areas on the sides are extruded aluminum which limits radiant heat. We are seeing more black and red colored trailers while camping. You will always have some staining/streaking from dirt washing off the roof but to my eye it is not as visible as with a white trailer.
