Location: Lawrence KS | It is a good spot to ride spring and fall. There isn't a lot of shade on the trails. Nice campground. I have been there a couple times the last 2 years. This is the Smoky Hills of central Kansas. Definitely a spot to check out, Horse thief canyon is pretty cool, ( for Kansas riding anyway ) I am not sure I would go in August, but I am sure many people do. Ride early mornings or evenings. Several creek crossings, nice rock formations etc for scenery. |
