Looking at Aluminum 4 horse bumper pull trailers. The Sundowner Super Sport is really light weight for the size. Looking for a recommendation or review.

I don't recommend 4 horse BP trailers in any brand unless you are towing them with a large RV (read, very heavy towing rig) because of the length and tongue weight. That's why you don't see many around, at this size you really should be in a gooseneck trailer if you are towing with a pick-up truck.

What is your tow vehicle?...What did the dealer tell you the tongue weight would be with 4 horses and all the assorted crud to support them?

Thank you for your concern, I have GMC one ton and a Suburban. Weight is a concern which is why I was asking about the Super Sport, a 4 horse only weighs 3600 lbs. I am more interested the trailer itself, if anyone has one, if they like it, any problems with it, ect...

The lighter the trailer, the less materials were used in its construction. This may lead to quality issues if the trailer is used often and hard over many miles. An inspection of its construction should be very complete. Are doublers used at corners? What is the thickness of the various materials? What is the spacing of the floor, ceiling and wall joists? What type of roof construction it includes. How robust are the welds or various hinges and fasteners? Is the interior lined or open to the outside sheathing? What are the axle, wheel and tire ratings? These are some of the issues that will determine the quality of a trailer, not just its weight. Most towing vehicles can have their towing capabilities improved with suspension aids if necessary. With them, if the trailer will exceed the manufacturer's towing ratings, you should contemplate a change in vehicles or the type of trailer you are considering.

IMHO... 3 and 4 horse bumper pull trailers are sensitive to loading compared to GN. A fat horse in back and an empty stall in front is a disaster waiting to happen. Even a one ton dually will have trouble controlling such a trailer in a wind gust. I would stay away from such a trailer with your tow vehicle.

I have a F350 dually and a Navigator L and wouldn't pull a 4 horse BP with either. Might put a 3 horse BP on the truck but not on the Navigator. Here in OK the winds are too much for anything more to be stable and safe at highway speeds. It sounds like you are going to do it anyway, so find a quality used trailer and save the money from the first owner learning the lesson that you've been warned about here...hope you get a great deal.
