Location: missouri | Try 34Ranch at Herod. We went to Circle B once. enough. We have been to Hayes a few times, mostly fulltime campsites.... Bear Branch was great in it's heyday... now, not so much. |

Location: Illinois | High knob has the best riding. You're into rock formations within minutes. JoJo is good about drawing you a map and getting you to the must see places. |

Location: Rayne, LA | I have been to 34 Ranch and enjoyed it but be careful. They do not pay permit fees and the forest service frowns on this very much. But the riding was good. We plan on trying High Knob on our next trip because we have heard so much good about it |

Location: Illinois | Hayes Canyon is where I stay most often (I live about 30 miles south of here) http://www.hayescanyon.com/ The riding in this area is great, not as much scenery as High Knob, but it's great. I like the campground, each site has pens or covered stalls. Each pen/stall has manure wagon you can use to keep your pen clean, they empty them every day.
High Knob is another great place, at least 5 trail heads from camp, best scenery in my opion. JoJo the owner is great at hand drawing maps to specific areas you want to ride to, better than the forest map IMO, http://www.highknobcampground.net/
34 Ranch is no longer open.
Bear Branch is under new ownership. I have not camped there yet since the new owners have opend it. The location is in a good spot, middle of east or west trails. |
