I'm looking at a new (2015 Kiefer) and a used (2009 Kiefer). I liked what I saw with the new one and the used one is out of state. I've heard that trailers built during the recession are substandard quality. Does anyone have an information or experience with the older trailers?

05 stock combo, not great not bad. Seems to be a good midline trailer but this is just a small run around with 2' tack room. Minor maintenance nothing major. I don't use it much any more but I sure don't want to sell it.

Stay away from the early 2000's. Since 05' for sure are good. It was a problem with the doors from a third party supplier.

The trailer of the recession units are fine. Some of the interiors were de-contented in order to keep pricing down. Good quality, just not as much frills.

And the door thing, was like 00-02ish. By '04 all good.
