I have a 2012 Sundownder 3H GN 8' shortwall LQ and would like to improve the ride for my horses. I see the Timbren SES kits, but have called several horse trailer dealer service departments and they don't seem to know much about this.
Has anyone had good luck adding a suspension kit to their horse trailer? The kits I'm looking at cost around $600, not including installation. Maybe change out the axles to air rides but that seems like it would be cost prohibitive. Plus if they don't know about the kits I sure wouldn't trust them to change the entire axle!
I'm a bit puzzled that these service departments are not more familiar with this add-on, but maybe it just isn't very common.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
For trailers it is the STI Air Ride Suspension
