Location: Hoosierville | We live close to southern Michigan in IN and are trying to find places to horsecamp in Michigan that have electric hook-ups. The only places I have found are as follows: Farmlane campground, Hell Mi, and D Bar D ranch.

Location: Hoosierville | Thank you! Yes we have been to Waterloo and it's pretty fun. Their camp ground is primitive so we camp at Farmlane private camp next to Waterloo where they have electric hook-ups and corrals for the horses. They even have live entertainment on the week-ends! |

Location: Croswell MI | We camp at Elba and Hadley.It is primitive.We have a generator and carry our water.We do love the trails there. |

Location: Croswell MI | Elba is off of I 69.Exit at Elba Rd.Go right.Its about 5 miles down on the left.Hadley is part of the Ortonville/Metamora recreation parks...We like the camping best at Hadley but love the trails at Elba.We often do a few days at each as they are not far from each other. |

Location: Croswell MI | Yes they have water for your horses.From Ft Wayne it's about 4 hours to Elba.About the same to Hadley.You could do both if you are going to head up.If you let me know I may be able to meet you for a day or two. |

Location: Hoosierville | I don't know when we can head up there but I will definitely let you know when we do! We are also talking about going to Hungerford sometime. Have you been there? We figure it's 5 to 6 hours from us.The temps here have been unseasonably cool, highs in the 60's and low 70's today...great riding weather/camping weather. Otherwise, we need a generator!! |

Location: MI. | Hungerford has water but no electric. The sites are clean, shady, and the trails are very nice, over 50 miles now. There are hardly any bugs either. |

Location: MI. | Although it is quite a ways away from you, Pouncey Ponderosa in Empire has some very nice riding. They have electric and water with large pens for your horses. |

Regarding Hungerford, as long as the sites can accommodate a large rig (trailer is 35 feet long) then there's no reason not to try it out this fall with cooler temperatures. I really like hearing that there are 50 miles of trails!Thanks again! |

Location: MI. | They have quite a few larger spots to hold your rig, ours is 36 feet. Fall is a great time, a lot of maple trees there. |
