Location: West Central, MN | I am wanting to add blanket type bars to the first stall of my 3h trailer ( on the gooseneck dividing wall. My question is my trailer is aluminum studs, can they hold much weight? Location: Rocky Mount N.C. | Contact your trailer mfg. They will have info of the structural integrity of your bulkhead wall. Have your model and serial number handy when making the call. |

Location: Calgary, Canada | We have attached an aluminum bridle rack, an aluminum blanket bar and a number of circular tie down plates to both sides of our divider wall of our Kiefer Built trailer with no problems. The bridle rack is about 4 ft long and as I recall, we attached it horizontally to 3 of the aluminum studs. The blanket rack was attached vertically to one stud. And the tie downs were attached separately to various studs. The tie downs are used to secure our portable panels in the front stall. I thought about welding these in place but instead used larger rivets to attach each of these to the aluminum studs. I invested in a larger rivet tool, the type with the 18" long (or so) handles ... you will need larger rivets than the standard one hand operated rivet tool can handle. I picked up this rivet tool for about $35 from a Princess Auto.We have had these in our trailer for a few years now with no problems. Our trailer is what I would call light to medium duty and as long as you are reasonable in what you are hanging off, it should not be a problem. I do think that your choice of fasteners is important and would strongly suggest riveting over screwing, bolting, welding, super glue or duct tape  Regards, 3CW |

| I have installed the garage type rail systems in both of my trailers, it works great because they have many different types of hooks, hangers, etc. I just cut the rail pieces to fit my wall, attached them to the studs and bought the different types of hangers that I needed.
