We have a dometic fridge that worked just fine all last summer until the propane tank ran out in Sept. As soon as my husband swapped the tank for a new one the fridge no longer works. I read the other post about the gas orifice getting clogged with bugs/dirt - where is this located so I can check it and clean it out. Any other ideas why the fridge would suddenly quit like that?

Try running propane thru the system....light the stove to purge air out of the pipes. If the fridge still won't light reply back with model #

It's model number RM2454. Where do we find the propane orifice so we can clean it out?

see: http://www.nancyemmert.com/region6/Resources/NewDometicRefrigerator...( pg 18)
Pull off the outside grill and the flue is located on the right. Take off small sheet metal shield and you will be able to see the burner jet and orifice. Remove burner assembly and clean slots in orifice. Clean small hole in brass jet. No steel wires, maybe a small copper wire or carburetor cleaner. Re-assemble, check for leaks with soapy water.. While you are in there, clean the flue (pg.18)Shake the metal insert and/or blow out with compressed air. Good luck and post back on progress

We cleaned out the gas orifice and apparently it now doesn't work on either gas, DC nor AC.

Does this mean the cooling unit needs replacing or is there something else we can look for?

Verify that you have 12v dc at the refrigerator. The unit will not work at all if is does not have 12v dc. http://www.dometic.com/f90ce2b0-0aa4-4645-aae8-58a283f3ebf5.fodoc this is link to user manual which shows circuit wiring on pg 16. Once you have 12v at board, it is possible to continue troubleshooting. Report back after checking fuses etc.

Did you check that the two fuses on circuit board are good?
