Location: iowa | I am having trouble finding used living qtr trailer 8' with no mangers.I do not want them because I haul a carriage and I also want my horse to lower her head if needed.Am I the only one that does not want mangers? Also searching for 2+1 with LQ and that is also a rare breed. I am looking in mid to better brands and used.My current trailer has the generator under the goose which is very handy. Now you can only get them in the manger or up in the hay rack on roof. Doesn't seem very user friendly and not really wanting to pay a few thousand for a hayrack that I am not physically able to get hay in.Thoughts? Brands that may meet my needs? looking to spend under 50K used for 10-12' 4 horse or 2+1 |

| You will have a hard time finding an 8' wide with no mangers. I too did not want mangers when I was looking at living quarters trailers, and finally settled on 7.5 wide, no mangers. Plenty of room for the horses but it is a little tight in the living area, but we can live with it. We still have a queen size bed and a sink in the bathroom, so it is good. Once in a while you will see an 8' wide with no mangers, so if you can wait and watch you may find one.
I love a straight load, but when I upgraded to a LQ I found that to get a full bathroom in a LQ straight load would require so much extra length it was unmanagable (for me).
Good luck.

Location: Draper, Utah | I am looking for a used 4 Horse LQ and one of the things I really like is built in mangers. It give you the obvious storage but my main reason is I always tie horses heads when hauling, I don't want to have a horse get it's head under a divider. If there was a wreck or jarring of the trailer I would rather my horse hit it's chest on a manger than it's head into a wall. What am I missing here that you do not want a manger? |

Location: Ohio | If you want used it will be hard to find. We didn't want them either so we ordered our trailer. You actually save money by ordering what you want. The dealer does not have to sit on it and that costs him money. If you can wait a few months for it, order it and get exactly what you want. Best decision we made. |

If you are hauling long distance a horse needs to lower its head to clear its airways. The 2nd is I want to haul a carriage and want the width.I had one with mangers previously and it was so hard to get access to what was stored as it was always on the bottom.
