Having a problem keeping tail lights tight enough in sockets to work properly. Any tips or suggestions? Thanks so much!

If you're talking about complete tail light assemblies that are held into place with a rubber grommet, adding silicone caulking around the seal's edge will hold things tight.

If you are talking about a bulb in a socket, slightly crimping the socket base with a pair of pliers will better hold the bulb in place. If the socket is corroded and excessively worn, it's best replaced. LED replacement lighting has many advantages.

I experienced difficulty with the bulb in the socket.  The light was dim at times, didn't work at other times.  What I found was the socket is spring loaded to keep contact with the bulb's contact.  A little age and corrosion prevents the socket from springing up to the bulb and making good contact.  I used some WD-40 in the socket to loosen it up so it springs better, then I used some dielectric grease in the socket to hopefully prevent reoccurrence.  So far all is well.
