Location: Hopkinsville, Ky | I am considering putting a shelf in my horse area. I would put it on the butt side, and have it running just above the windows. I'm sure someone here has either done it, or seen it. I was looking for suggestions if anybody had any. Additionally, I thought that I would put a 2 or 3 inch lip around it, to keep things from sliding off. It's a 4 horse. I'm thinking I will just put it over the three stalls nearest the LQ. |

Location: western PA | It would be easy to fabricate using standard shelf brackets mounted upside down, to a plywood shelf with a perimeter lip attached. Having it above the windows on the butt side would eliminate most of the interference with an unruly horse. Make sure if you have an aluminum trailer to put a cathodic barrier between the steel brackets and the aluminum skin. It could be paint, plastic, rubber or even wood. Use stainless screws installed directly into the wall studs. |
