Location: MO | My trailer currently has Goodyear Wrangler HT, M&S 7.50R 16 LT, Load Range D tires on it. They need replacing. I've been told Goodyear doesn't make this particular tire anymore and that the measurements are now metric. I got recommendations from a Goodyear store as to what tires to purchase. Because I price compare, I got input from two other stores. All three gave me different recommendations (and multiple options) as to what tires to purchase. I'm more confused than ever. Here's what's been recommended to me: Goodyear ST235/80R16 E Marathon Trailer BW; Power King Radial Trailer 7.50R 16 G; Cooper SRM Radial 7.50 R16; Goodyear Workhorse 7.50 R16; Yokohama Geolander 215 85 16 LT E; Michelin 215 85 16 LTX MS II; Carlile 235 80 16 ST E. Adding to the confusion is the fact that I found Goodyear Wrangler HTs on the Internet. They are not the exact tire size, but I'm thinking they may work. Input, please!!!!

Location: Ottawa, Illinois 61350 | Stay with the Good Year's; but do it in the Marathon's. You won't have to worry about warranty as much, or replacement's; then if you buy a discontinued model over the internet. |

| Just my opinion- I'd go buy a LT235/85R16 Load Range E highway tread truck tire. Like the Goodyear Wrangler HT, Firestone Transforce HT, or similar. Put 80 PSI in the and drive. Easy tires to find, tough, durable, and longer lasting than the ST tires.
True- in a direct cross, the 7.50-16 crosses to a LT215/85R16, but in reality they will look smaller. The 235 looks better and is much more common. |

I replaced my original trailer tires which were 7.50 - 16 with the Goodyear Wrangler HT LT235/85R16 E. |

Location: Lander WY | Stay with the trailer manufactures recommendation on the size of the tire. Both Cooper and Goodyear have good trailer tires. If you want "true" trailer tires look at Goodyear G614 load range G tires ( if they have your size )http://www.goodyearrvtires.com/tire-selector.aspx |

When I bought my truck it had two new Goodriches and two used Coopers on it. 50k later replaced all four with Coopers. Kept the coopers and put them on the hay wagon and scrapped the Goodriches. |

True.My son-in-law went Wednesday to look at some $150.00 tires for his trailer. Like brand new. Supposedly the guy changed to a larger tire to help level his trailer out. I warned him to check the date code. Turned out it 4801.  |

Location: Richmond, Ky | run Coopers here also no complaint's, if ya could see the Coopers that were just replaced from the truck you'd say OH **** you've been riding on those. Thread was GREAT but gravel took it's toll.

Location: MO | Hi, All. I went with the Coopers. Size LT235/85R16 E. They fit on the wheels just fine, look great, and did perfect on my trip from Missouri to Texas and back. The price from a local tire retailer was better than most, plus I'm getting an $80 rebate. I did check the manufacture date as suggested by another poster -- tires were about 3 weeks old. Since my trailer sits out 24/7, I plan on getting some type of cover to protect these tires from UV damage. Although the trailer is parked on gravel, I may also jack it up enough to clear the tires. Thanks for all the great input. It's nice to have a place to go for information when needed! |
