I have a DuoTherm and after reading bunches if posts found that by putting on coldest setting with high fan it stayed on. It's the 20 amp in trailer breaker that had been tripping. I'm assuming it was amp pull of compressor on and off that was kicking it, but what does that really mean? I am not electrically minded and don't know how to test line pull. Does this mean I should have AC looked at by pro?

you might check the filters and fins of the a/c.  If the unit can not get rid of the heat, the refrigerant pressures increase leading to the compressor pulling too much power.

Keeping the fan on HIGH moves the most air pass the fins and setting the stat on coldest keeps the compressor running instead of cycling a start (when it pulls the most power)

Most modern day A/C units now have what is called a PSC compressor, it's the manufacturers way of cutting costs by "just getting it to work awhile", older time A/C units used a CSR startup more costly and much more dependable. To fix this problem they have come up with a "hard start kit" which a pro will need to install. This will fix you up for awhile if indeed your A/C is tripping on the startup. As the previous poster has noted keeping your filter changed and the fins clean will keep the pressures down and save you $$$$$ and maybe you compressor.

Thank you. I'll have checked out next week. I think it's the original 2000 AC.
