| As I was driving through Wyoming, I saw a big red horse trailer traveling the opposite direction and I wondered if I had just passed Painted Horse? |

Location: Northern Utah | I was in Yellowstone Wed thru Friday. We came down thru Jackson Hole on Friday evening and headed home down along the Snake River then south thru Afton, Cokeville then Evanston Wyo. So if you were along that route on Friday, You probably saw me. |

Location: Northern Utah | My wife almost never rides the horses. She grew up in a remote town in Idaho and often tells my daughters she never had a bike and had to ride a bareback horse to her friends house to play. But now days she prefer trips on airplanes to going camping with me. My daughters have all flown the nest and as empty nesters my wife has come on a couple rides this summer with. The trip to Yellowstone was one of these times. And I have to admit I probably over did the horse riding. Thursdays ride was way to long for my wife. Note to self, When she does come, don't take her on 26 mile rides. We had to cross a lot of rivers that day. Good practice for the horses. This is Mountain Ash Creek. This is the Falls Rivers We even caught some hikers washing the trail dust off by swimming in one of the rivers This is on the South Boundary trail of the park. The ranger suggested we ride that back from Union Falls as an alternate route. It turned out that it added several miles to our trip andis not used very often, hence it's not as groomed of a trail as the main trail and took a lot longer to travel. Part of the reason my wife was unhappy with me that day. |

Location: Jeddo, MI | thanks for sharing your beautiful pictures....I love trail riding and I try to take my husband on one ride a year and keep it limited to a 3-4 hour ride....I am thankful he doesn't mind me riding as much as I want. I would love to ride out west someday, your pictures are awesome. |

| It probably was you then! lol Your photos are great as always. Your wife looks very comfortable on her horse, of course, but maybe taking it a little easier on her is a good plan. :) |

Location: Northern Utah | So did you ride up around Yellowstone, Or just drive thru the area? I know it's a long haul for you to drag horses that far. |

| We didn't have horses. It was just a quick trip before school restarted. Hopefully, next year I'll take horses there. It's not too bad from here, but I haven't gotten it done yet:). Of course, you post so many great places to ride....
