I am in need of replacing the awning fabric on my horse trailer. Has anyone done this themselves? or would it be wiser to have it done by someone who knows what they are doing? On-line instructions are not very encouraging. Thanks for your assistance in this matter.

I have had to replace the fabric on mine also but you have to know how to keep the tension on the roller while putting your fabric on it.  I just ordered fabric already on a new roller and then put it on my trailer.  To just reroll the fabric on my current roller, they  wanted almost as much as it was going to be for the fabric already on the roller.  Hope this helps

It requires a certain amount of care, and the springs can be dangerous if not handled properly. Be careful.
