I will be trailering a avg. built qh along with my daughters little 11hh shetland pony soon in our 2h slant. There is a divider, but it doesn't have a stud wall, or anythingother than the standard partition about 2/3 of the way up. What would be your suggestion for loading and tying in. I just want to make sure the little guy doesn't get under the partition. I have a collapsable rear tack i was considering folding up to tie him closer to the back...but would like some seasoned advice. Thank you!

Get some plywood, drill some holes in it and strap it to the divider (you can put light mats on each side if you want). We did this to make a stud divider so that we can use the first stall as storage for long camping trips. Worked well and was cheap for the occasional use.

He has been dealing with his height all his life. He knows where he can and can not fit safely. I bet he will not go under the divider. I would consider installing a ring lower, and back closer to the rear part of the stall for him though.
