Location: Virginia | We had a 15 foot awning installed this week on our horse trailer. We love it already because I am a sun/heat whimp , and we trail ride quite a bit and spend time at the trailer afterwards with friends, as well as camp occasionally. The way it has been installed will inhibit our ability to lock one of the back windows of the trailer (2 horse, straight load, Featherlite gooseneck trailer, ramp load) in the open position. It can now only be opened to the 180 degree position (so also won't be able to be open when driving). We knew this and are okay with this, but are looking for a way to ensure that this window will not damage the arm of the awning when it needs to be open for loading. Our thoughts are to either switch to hinges that will only allow it to open to 180 degrees, or to find a sort of door stop option. I've sent a message off to Featherlite to see if they've created any fixes to this issue, but I'm wondering if anyone has discovered any fixes to this issue? |

Location: Virginia | Thanks so much for the door holder link. I don't think any of them will work for me but you actually solved a barn door issue I have! The back of the trailer has a drop down ramp with two dutch door windows on the top, that when opened swing 270 degrees to latch flush against the trailer. The new awning are prohibits it from latching open. What I need, I think, is some way to lock it at the 180 degree point, to keep it from damaging the awning arm. Let me see if I can post some pictures... |

Location: AZ | I have these on my back doors...they hold the door open flush against the back end of the trailer. Mine cannot swing all the way around to flush to the side of the trailer.
