Location: Texas | Was thinking of insulating the horse compartment ceiling to cool it down in our hot Texas sun. I thought I would get some of the foam insulation, cut and drop in between the ceiling beams, and then mount a ceiling on top of the beams. I thought the thin white sheet metal stuff (sorry for such an elementary term) like I have seen on some trailer ceilings, but not sure where to find it. Thoughts on this project??? Have not had a metal roof on a trailer before, as my old trailer had been a Circle J with the fiberglass roof. I will say, it was a LOT cooler! |

Location: Broomfield, CO | I did this with one inch styrofoam from Lowes. I used the sliver metal thin type duck tape to keep it up and it stayed up for ever!! You need to cut slits in the styrofoam to help it bend a bit. Did a 3 horse trailer for under $30. |

| we just did ours, insulation, tape and then screwed 4x8 smooth painted white aluminum sheets, I think it helps a lot. I got our 4x8 sheets from a local sheetmetal shop. |

Location: MN | ours has 1" yellow foam insulation cut for between the braces, black plastic covering then a thin plywood sheet screwed into the braces. |

Location: western PA | The double sided, foil faced rigid foam insulation, will provide an optimal insulation within your trailer. Install it with tape at the seams and /or polyurethane construction adhesive. It is available at most home centers. |

Location: Kansas | Trot-on, try farmtek.com. They carry something like what you are looking for I believe. If it doesn't have to be metal, give some consideration to their PVC sheets. |

Perhaps FRP (fiberglass reinforced plastic ) panels from a Big Box store. This may save you shipping charges?? This is the wall paneling you see in commercial kitchens and restrooms. I'm not sure of the durability of this product when it is placed in a trailer environment?? |

Location: Texas | PVC would be fine too. But I want a smooth surface that I can clean the fly poop off, that does not collect a lot of dust. Thanks for all the suggestions! |

| I have a 2012 bison trail hand, 3h with LQ. There are three 3-way vents up top, can some tell me which way those should be facing to keep my horses cool in the south Texas heat?!!! |
