I have located a new 2012 Featherlite gn 9607 2 horse trailer - can a Chevy Silverado 4 x 4 - 1/4 ton haul this without a problem and what should I pay for this trailer?

A half or three quarter ton pickup should handle that trailer just fine.... So far as how much to pay, you'll need to shop around. Search the Featherlite inventory here on HTW, this should give you and idea of the asking prices from dealers and private sellers on trailers similar to what you're looking. I like to know the list price then deduct 20 to 25% off of that.  That's the way I buy new cars and trucks. Trailer sales folks are not as forgiving... I will tell you that $20K is way too much for a 2 horse gooseneck with a DR... IMHO!!
