Hi, I just bought a used trailer from a dealership in AZ. The unit checked out fine when I previewed it. Bought the unit a week ago then picked it up yesterday. When the trailer was on my truck hitch I noticed that the aluminum skin warped on both sides of the over cab area just below the side windows of the over cab bunk area. When the trailer is off the hitch (no weght on the gooseneck)  the skin goes back to normal. There are no permanent creases which explains why I didn't see this when I bought the trailer. Should I be concerned about this? Thanks.

I think you have reason to be concerned. Sounds to me like there might be a break in the gooseneck frame. I would have a competent trailer mfg. have a look at it for you.

I agree that the trailer should be viewed by someone qualified with structural knowledge. The frame is either under built or damaged, and I would not use it until the fault can be determined and a remedy fabricated. If you received any type of warranty from the dealer, I would immediately return the trailer to him. In the mean time a letter in writing should be sent, signature required, to the seller informing him of the structural problems that were not noticeable until weight was placed upon the hitch.

The goose area is flexing where it should not. Something is seriously wrong, and it has to be structurally remedied before the trailer is used.

I would be afraid to pull it back without knowing what's going on there... Not good.

I would get the trailer back to the dealer as soon as possible. I would not want to buy something with this type of issue, especially not knowing what it's caused by. It might be fixable, but what caused it in the first place and could it happen again???
