Location: Western WA | I am a little stumped by this, maybe someone else has experienced this. When hooked up to city water my water pump leaks. It does not leak when pulling water off the fresh water tank. Tried a pressure regulator which helps, but the water pump is still leaking. What would cause it to leak with city water and not off the tank? Are there seals/gaskets in/on RV water pumps that can be replaced vs replacing the entire pump? |

Location: Florida | City water at 60/70lbs pressure at all times at the pump. When you are pulling from the tank, that is suction, no pressure. Rebuild or replace the pump to end the problem, or if money is tight, get a in line adjustable pressure regulator connected at the main and turn it down as low as it can go.
Edit, yes I see you have a regulator, but I don't know if it's adjustable.

Location: North Carolina | It all depends on the location of the leak. Your pump should have a check valve to hold pressure. Where is the leak? before or after the pump. Where does the city water connect ... Before or after the pump? |

Location: Western WA | City water connects before the pump, which I thought was an odd design. |

Location: Western WA | I am fortunate to have relatively easy access to the water pump and am just going to replace it. So....any recommendations on a replacement model and where to buy (online)? |

That is odd, I've never seen one plumbed that way. I question if any RV pump should be plumbed with the city connection on the suction line of the pump. That might be your problem, the suction side isn't suppose to see pressure. |
