Location: Northern Utah | Trailer keeps pushing, But the gearing caused the truck wheels to resist and jack knife. He should have used his brake controller and had the trailer brakes slow the rig while the truck freewheeled. |

Location: Ohio | I am still amazed the number of people that haul trailers that don't know you can activate your trailer brakes manually from the brake controller separate from the tow vehicle's breaks. Save my wife's life a couple years ago when the trailer started to pass her on black ice on an overpass. She hit the break controller and straightened the rig back out. |

Location: Missouri | The sad part is that hill doesn't even look long enough to be concerned with brake fade which is the only reason I ever go light on the brakes and use engine braking. Even then I would only use engine braking on dry pavement, never on gravel. |
