When hauling horses at night is it better to keep the interior lights on so outside lights aren't a noticeable to the horses, or better to keep them off so the horses can snooze?

our horses do not care one way or the other, but i think they like the lights off after dark, the camera can see them in the dark, i myself can not see them react either way.

I doubt the horses are doing much snoozing bouncing down the road. I haul with lights on, but that's for the camera. I did put lower wattage bulbs so it's not too bright.

We had the experience of hauling a horse by himself at night in rain and he became extemely excited during the ride. We now haul with lights on and have not have a problem with that horse in the same circumstances.

Interior lights on...stops vehicles running behind the trailer from creating flashes from their headlights by leaving the interior trailer lights on, these types of sudden flashes are reduced. Horses are not inclined to rest when hauling, so the addition of lights is a positive rather than negative influence.
