  | I am buying 2006 Sundowner BP 2h from a friend of a friend at a STEAL. The trailer is in very good shape, but the wheels are really shabby looking (peeling and rust). When I searched here, a couple of posts mentioned SIMS. What are SIMS and would they work on these wheels? |

Location: Utah | Go to your local tire store and they should be able to hook you up with some. There are a lot of different types and styles out there that major stores like Big O or Les Schwab will have. |

Location: Missouri | I'm guess SIMS is referring to simulators, never heard it abbreviated to SIMS before. Wheel simulators are either polished stainless or chrome plated steel that are stamped in the shape of the wheel they are to bolt to, and make the plain steel wheel appear to be a fancy aluminum. They're held in place by the lug nuts which are replaced with chrome lug nuts to finish the look. Simulators are common place among trucks. I haven't seen to many with trailer wheels so finding them may be difficult. |

Location: Northern Utah | You are paying $199 for 4 sims ,  Why not just buy some new aluminum wheels. You can find them for around $110 to $125 per wheel. And good possibility that you can upgrade them to 110 psi rating so you can run the 14 ply tires if you want. http://www.trailer-wheels.com/16-inch-HD-SAWTOOTH-Aluminum-Trailer-Wheel-8-Lug-Heavy-Duty_p_693.html http://www.etrailer.com/comparison.aspx?pc=AM22660HWTB&pc2=AM22659HWT    |

Location: Ottawa, Illinois 61350 | Since you have a 2H with 15" wheels; most all simulators that will fit a 15" wheel will be the snap on type, instead of the two piece 16" wheel type.  The snap on simulators are fairly easy to lose from the wheel.  If you don't want to spend a lot of money, and still have the entire wheel covered; there is a 2 piece wheel cover that is made of a plastic material, that looks good and will keep you from having "ugly wheels".  It's amazing how attractive wheel covers will change the look of your trailer. |

Location: Mena, AR | When I bought my 2008 4-Star 2H from this web site, the pictures of it did not have the wheel covers on it. They had not even been taken out of the box, still in the DR. About a week after I got it home I got around to putting the wheel covers on. My husband, who is not a horse person, commented on how much better the trailer looked. I joked they could have gotten another $1,000 for it if the pictures had included the wheel covers. LoL |
