So trying to upgrade all my trailers.  Have all of the fixtures.  Got the first 6" oval out but can't get the new one back in.  Have tried WD-40 and a rubber mallet.  All the round fixtures on the runabout trailer were fine, but can't get the ovals back in.  What is the secret?  Do I need to make the hole bigger?  Gasket first?  Or put the light in the gasket and try to get them both back in together?

Put the gasket in first then the fixture. If needed apply a VERY SMALL amount of vaseline. The gasket will give more than you think

Are your led ovals physically larger than your incandescent ovals?

Nope, same exact size.  I finally got them in but will have to re-do a couple of them as the gasket "wrinkled" going in.  Now have to figure out how to pop the flush led lights out without drilling a whole in the back.  May just drill a hole.

Are you speaking of the round ones?
