Location: KY | My heart goes out to my friend on this board ACY who lost her beloved retired endurance horse today. He was enjoying his retirement on a lush Kentucky pasture. So sorry my friend for your loss. Even tho the pain of losing him is awful, the joy of having him share your life is eternal. My thoughts and prayers are with you. |

Location: central IL | ACY, So sorry to hear of your loss. Any of us who've been down that path understand the sorrow of losing a trail partner. I still can hardly bear to talk about the last one I lost. It still brings tears to my eyes even though it's been over 2 years ago. Hoping our condolences bring you some comfort. |

Location: Columbia, KY | Thanks for your kind words everyone. Shameless (AKA Pavichy) broke his leg in a freak pasture accident. He'd been a great endurance horse for years.. top 10'd lots of 50's and 100's, won numerous regional and national awards. He'd survived colic surgery and several other set backs over the years, but always came out on top. . he'd been my companion for almost 20 years, thru divorce, changing jobs, moving, etc. I still have a hard time believing he's not here. RIP Shameless |
