I am looking at ordering a new 4 Star quiet ride 2 + 1 style trailer and I am looking at a similar configuration in Elite.   I would like to know what experiences people have had with the newest model years in both these trailer brands - from a construction standpoint - weld, latches, windows, roof and floor construction.

Also, does anyone have one of the new 4 Star quiet ride designs?   Feedback on the dividers and redesign?

Thank you!

Many trailer manufacturers have in the last several years, to stay in business and maintain a profit; have gone to lighter built and less expensive components.  In other words they are not building the same trailer as they were prior to 08-09 time frame.  Elite is one manufacturer that is STILL building the same high quality product that they have for years.  In other words, they have chosen not to build a less quality product than in the past.  Of the two poducts, I would choose the Elite.

oops... I just wanted to say that I have a 2010 Elite built in Dec. 09. I have had no problems at all. Welds, windows, roof, floor etc. People comment nicely on my trailer. If I need something answered I call the factory folks and they are very accomodating since my dealer closed. This trailer pulls so easy and true- I am very much a stickler on quality and so chose an Elite. I expect it to be my life-time trailer. I agree that they have not compromised their commitment to quality. My opinion. Enjoy your search!

After looking/inspecting many brands of trailers, I narrowed it down to 4Star & Elite. I ended up going w/ Elite as it was a better constructed trailer IMO. That was in 2007 & I'm sure their quality is still just as excellent now! As mentioned above, I also get compliments frequently on how nice a trailer it is!

I just wanted to mention that I read an ad a person had for a 4-star trailer they wanted to sell-one of the main points they made is that it was manufactured in 2000- before the company used lighter-weight alum. etc. for cost control...If you compare the welds on an Elite- they are perfect. No bolts on hinges-all welded.
