Location: Tennessee | Does anyone know if its doable to trade in a large living quarter trailer with maybe $6000 more owed on then its value to downsize to a smaller living quarter trailer. We are having this debate if its even possible to downsize and get smaller payments. Has anyone done this? Do dealers work out deals like this? Thanks |

Location: illinois | We have a smaller lq. trailer would you be interested in selling it out right ,Or trade? What year is yours and size? Our trailer is 07 4 Star. 2horse with a 6ft. short wall. We have a friend who wanted to trade in his trailer for a larger but a little older trailer,the trade did not happen due to dealer not willing to work with him. Good luck! |

Location: Tennessee | Thanks but a 2 horse with 6ft LQ is too downsized...lol. We have a 2007 C&C, 4 horse with 13'LQ with a slide out, 8'wide and 7'6" high. We use a Freightliner to haul which is good because its a lot of weight to pull but even more important a lot of weight to stop. We would like to go down to a 3 horse with 10'LQ. We have two issues here..getting down in size so I am comfortable doing the driving myself and getting the payments down a little. |

Location: Grant Twp., MI | Boy, I hear you...ours is even a little bigger...and we are currently using an International...dealers don't want a bigger rig..hard to get most folks financed...we don't owe anything on ours...Thank God!...but find it is a hard sell...because we are private owners..don't offer financing or willing to take a trade....Good Luck and if you have any success...please let us know here on the Forum! Consequently, when our current ad expires here this week..we are not re-listing..had over 3000 hits in less than 2 months...but I think a lot of folks are dreaming and hoping that things get better in the coming year or two! One more thing I've found out...is that by being HONEST with folks and telling them IN MY OPINION...they cannot pull this rig with a 1 ton dually...that is stopping them dead in their tracks..I think SOME dealers might downplay that and say SURE...you can pull it! I say..STOP IT in an emergency!!! Not gonna happen. I got so frustrated with all the partial truths from dealers selling trailers (when I was shopping) and I always tell the truth about hauling..I've had many years experience and I think folks should be told the real facts...LOADED TRAILER WEIGHTS vs actual ability of their vehicle to pull and stop it. Location: rapid city sd | trailers that take more than a dually pickup are tougher to move because of $4 dollar fuel and a truck. You greatly reduce the number of potential buyers. The big trailers have been hardest percent discounted as a result. Its never been easy to trade down best case. good luck. |

Location: Grant Twp., MI | That is basically what we are going to do.....might try to list again in the spring..but for now, considering its paid for (the best trailer to own) we will just enjoy it and hope anyone else that finds themselves in this position do too...life is short...ride while you can! |
