| Iam going out west to look at property, i will be unhooking my trailer from the truck, using the truck to drive and look at homes. Iam not at all familiar with the area, thinking i will park in a hotel parking lot. What can i use to lock the neck/hitch part so someone can't just pull up and drive off with it. Some type of chain with a padlock, how would i do this? Okie ann |

| Tire lock, what is it, where can you get them? What do all of the trailer dealers do with so many trailers on their lot? |

Either way lower the trailer so cant be backed under with truck. There are also wheel locks that can be purchased from RV supply like Camping World. |

Time is your friend and bad for a thief. If you're up for it, TWO chains and locks would be better. Anything that delays taking the trailer is good for you. |

| Pull the stringer out of your gooseneck. Pretty slim chance an average thief would not have one in his truck? |

Location: Ottawa, Illinois 61350 | We use Blalocks on all of our trailers sitting on our two lots. This lock fits over the gooseneck coupler, and has a big hardened steel pin that fits thru it; and than padlocks. You can go one step further, and put locks over the set screws that are one the tubes with one or two set screws. If it is the new style coupler tube with holes in it for a pin to slip thru it, you can stick a padlock thru the hole in this pin also. We have had thieves try to batter the Blalocks off with a sledge hammer. but gave up after beating on it for awhile. Call our dealership at 800 659-4051 if you want information on them, or pricing. |
