Hi all,Looking at getting my first trailer and I was told to get either a small stock or Aluminum BP. I was wondering your thoughts on the subject. Looking to spend 3K or below so I am limited. Anyway I was told the small stock would be lighter and easier to get horses in and out of. Blah blah.. Love to hear your thoughts on the matter. Thanks ahead of time!

You'll be hard pressed to purchase an aluminum trailer for $3k. There are many basic 2h BP steel trailers in your price range.

Stock is more universal to haul other things (lawn mowers, 4 wheelers, consumer goods) than a side/side or slant. Also, most stock (horses) load easier in a stock trailers.

But the dividers help in keeping stock still and will help prevent a few white knuckle moments. Most you can just take them out than have a stock trailer.

Yup, agree that they are esier to load/unload than one with straight or fixed sides.

Good luck!
