Location: Florida | We are searching yet again to get out of old man winter up here in the NE.
I have been traveling to the Charlotte NC area recently and like the areas surrounding. NC or SC locations with-in range to Charlotte. My job requires me to be with-in 100 miles of an airport. Basically able to get there the miles are irrelevant.
Does anyone know any specific locations/towns that would be horse friendly?
We like to camp so I am also interested in nearby forests were we can get to and enjoy riding/Camping. Today we are 30 minutes from excellent camping and riding (for New England :) )
When we camp here we generally ride from our site to the trails and we also coral our horses on the sites, or in a nearby paddock.
What would the ground be like in these areas? Rocky etc...
Change is going to be tough but I believe if we research it properly we may do okay.
Thanks for the input.

Location: md | I just got back from Charlotte. I did not see a single horse once I got into NC. Not a place I would want to move. The pollen was horrible.
And its expensive.
I hope someone can give an opinion on the horse aspect. |

Location: Little town in Pa | Lakeview Plantation is down in South Carolina and has beautiful easy trails and plenty of space for the bigger rigs. I can't recommend it enough. http://www.lakeviewplantation.com/ |

Location: Shelby N.C. | I live just west of Charltte and there are alot of places to ride. I've been keeping a Bing Map of the places we have been riding this year. Heres the link to it http://www.bing.com/maps/?v=2&cp=36.026004~-80.109390&lvl=6&dir=0&sty=r&cid=B29524EDEDCA22C0!193&form=LMLTCC Now this is just a few of the places there is to ride and if you look under more info on each push pin it will bring up the website for that ride. |

Location: Florida | Nice Clff! Maybe I missed it as I am about to study your list further but do you camp or day trip? We love Camping and trail riding with the horses. So part of the location we pick to move to not only should be near decent camping but also have riding nearby or plain off the property. Jim |

Location: Shelby N.C. | Blazing, we both camp and day ride but most of these places are a day trip for us. The Love Valley rides we camp at a place we have leased up there. |
