A friend has a Gore trailer, and plans to fix up the DR area.  What is the best insulation (and way to install it)  to use underneath the  fiberglass roof?    thanks!

I used Styrofoam sheets. Available at building supply companys in different R values and and thickness. Cut to exact fit between frame\joists glue to roof or allow finish ceiling to support panel. Tape joints with foil\aluminum backed tape.

If you use the styrofoam sheets be sure to use the closed cell type and put a layer of foil backed bubble wrap between the roof and the styrofoam. Marla

The best results I've had, is by installing the double foil faced rigid insulation, secured in place with polyurethane construction adhesive. If the area is curved, scarf cuts can be made into one side of the surface, allowing the foam board to be profiled to meet the curvature of the roof.

Any gaps on the edges can be filled with foam insulation, and then covered with the metalic tapes.
