im looking at buying a sooner GN with LQ trailer but i need to get a gooseneck adapter since i have a mega cab dodge. how do you know if you have a 4" tube or 4 and a 1/2 tube. ive been trying to research all morning and havent found anything.

Go measure your hitch with a measuring tape or ruler.

I'll assume your measuring problem is the end of the tube is obstructed by the hitch so you can't place a rule across the diameter.

Solution ... Get a measuring tape.  Wrap it around the tube and measure the circumference.   Divide that number by 3.14 to get the diameter.

Math is useful...
