Location: Glenford, Oh | Hi, I am looking for a decent mattress for the gooseneck and I am not sure where to look. I do not want a real thick one like a pillowtop but still want comfort. Any ideas??? |

Location: Rayne, LA | Here locally we have a mattress manufacturer that will make it to your dimensions, thickness and as firm or soft as you want. Most of the ones I have seen for horse trailers are the foam type. Good Luck |

Not sure what part of Ohio you are in, but give this place a try. They will custom make a mattress to your specs.

Location: Northern CA | Go to an RV store like Camping World. That is where I got mine. It is 1/2 the thickness of a regular mattress. Maybe even less. They are pricey though. I think I paid like $300- for a queen size. If you are not menopausal...get one of those memory foam matresses. That is what I want next. Just because my trailer is not insulated and these do tend to hold heat (hence not the thing for women "in stage") I get cold very easily and want something warm. NO to the futon matress!! Those things are horribly uncomfortable. |

Location: Glenford, Oh | I did not mention my back is toast and if I sleep on something uncomfortable, I can't ride! So I do need a good mattress. |

Location: Boyd, MN 56218 | I love my futon but have no back trouble. I have heard people like the Tempurpedic mattresses, however I think they are expensive. |

Location: michigan | I bought a cheap full size mattress years ago and have regretted it. I should have bought something much better but I figured I only use it a month out of the whole year. I have add a mattress pad and some softy quilts to make it tolerable. I got it at mattress store in town. |

Location: MD | I have the memory foam from Walmart.com and LOVE it. It comes in a couple of different thickness. It does have an odor for a couple of days and is very firm but a thick topper fixes that. I found the 8" queen size on sale for $199. |

Location: ohio | I got rid of the mattress that came in our trailer and bought a 5" firm foam one. Got it a JC Penneys. My husband says he gets the most comfortable sleep in the camper on that mattress. |

Check this sams club mattress. We bought one for our horse trailer. My wife has a very bad back and we have a temporpedic at home. This is the closest thing we have found to that and it is a fraction of the price. After a days ride, this thing is a dream to sleep on. I highly recommend it. |
