| We show nearly every weekend begining in May through August. Being a type A person I really enjoy having a trailer that is loaded and ready to go. When we leave for a show we load horses, nothing else...everything else is on the trailer and stays there. Any suggestions on some good food\snacks that can survive the 90 degree temps the trailer may experience between weekends? We usually have some of the microwave mac and cheese cups, chips, peanut butter crackers. Any other suggestions? |

Location: Rayne, LA | I always carry beef jerky in the trailer and on the trail. Also some of my freinds can't stand it, but I also carry vienna sausage in my trailer with little packs of crackers that have decent shelf life. |

Location: michigan | I also like having the trailer ready to go. I leave in ramen noodles, individual servings of soup, anything boxed ( such as mac n cheese) unopened crackers ( i have tupperware to store anything opened) fun sized boxes of cereal and my can of espresso. ( yes I make lattes at horse shows) Sometimes its a learning process but over time you do figure it out. I have a pal that keeps her trailer pluged in between shows so things in the fridge can be left there such as ketchup, mayo and other items that can be left in a fridge. |

Funny.....when I saw vienna sausage and cajun in the user name I figured you must be from LA. We live in Nebraka but my mom was born and raised in southern Louisiana (Des Allemands) and I remember going to my grandparents when I was little and my grandpa would always eat vienna sausage, potted meat, and head cheese...he loved it and I could hardly stand to look at it. |

During the winter we always save extra ketchup and mustard pacs from the fast places and keep them on the trailer to use over the summer. |

Location: El Paso, Texas | Summer time, anything wet goes in fridge (soup, beans, etc) only dry food in cabinets when parked. I too leave the fridge plugged in between trips. takes too long to cool off again in the summer after bring turned off |

| Starkist tuna kits. I have kept in the trailer all summer and all winter and the only thing that has gone bad is the crackers which went stale. Fruit cups and pudding cups hold well. I got a metal popcorn tins (the kind that you see in the stores at Christmas) and store all my food in that in case a mouse gets in. I also pick up mustard, ketchup, mayo and jelly at fast food restaurants. You can get small packets of vinegar and oil from Subway restaurants which I keep as well. Keeps from packing large bottles if space is an issue. |
