How long are these good for or when should these be replaced? I have had mine on top of the trailer in the hayrack for 6 years now I believe. I have never taken it off and stored inside. Probably should have. Anyways, just wondering how long before the plastic starts to "break" down and are most likely not good to use anymore? I have one of those green, 48 gallon tanks. Am noticing that around the fill holes, the plastic is "breaking" down? Anyways, just went out and bought a new white one since I can't find any local places that sell the green "High Country plastics" water tanks. I will store this new one inside when not in use. Just wondering if they should be replaced sooner than 6 years or what? I use it for showers and for the horses water when camping.

Use it until it won't hold water...

I was worried about "breaking down" of the plastic and making the horses sick.

Thanks Paul
