Location: WA | Looking at a 2000 Elite trailer. Can anyone please tell me about them. Pros, Cons. This one looks to be in really good condition from what I can tell from the pictures and from what the dealer is saying. |

Location: Missouri | That's not old for an Elite. They are very well built trailers. We have a 2003 and everyone thinks its a new one. I'd rather have an older Elite than a new version of some of the other brands. |

Location: Shawnee, Oklahoma | I agree....A 2000 Elite is solid and will always hold it's value......MUCH better purchase and investment than a 2012 in many of the entry level brands..... |

Location: La Cygne, KS | Ditto, Ditto, and Ditto. Own a 2005 and still looks new. Just check the floor in the horse compartment for pitting. Are you looking at LQ? If so, I'd check out all the components to make sure they are functional, especially the hot water tank as this appliance can corrode easily. Look at ceiling for leaks around air conditioner and other areas. If leaks are found, there could be mold behind the ceiling or wall and this is bad news as the ceiling and/or insulation should be replaced. Also ask the seller age of tires and when the bearings were last repacked. We replace tires every 5 years on the LQ to minimize tire issues. One more thing to note. If you are driving a newer truck and this Elite has a dropped gooseneck, you may need to block the trailer axles so the trailer will be level when hitched to your truck bed. We had to do this after purchasing a 2011 Dodge DRW. |

Location: western PA | The "Elite" wheel bearing grease you need can be found at any auto parts store, Wal Mart, Sears etc. It's called "wheel bearing grease" and is available in many brand names. The synthetics are the best.
