 | Just picked up a new truck and when I plug in my trailer the back up lights come on on the truck. All the other lights on the trailer and the brake controller work fine. Any suggestions? Thanks, |

 | Check the wiring inside the trailer plug according to this chart....  http://www.horsetrailerworld.com/home/wiring.asp   |

 | Sounds like the battery charge lead on the truck is in the wrong pin, so the battery on the trailer is feeding into the trailer reverse lights pin on the truck. |

 | The center pin to be exact. Surprisingly, some horse trailer aplications will use the center pin as a 12V hot because it is of a heavier capacity. Bloomer trailers and Dexter (on trailers with their air ride axles) both reccomend use of this pin as a 12V, and thus require rewiring the trucks that pull them. Some race car haulers will also do this to charge the winch batteries quicker.
