I have a "05 Silverado with a 6.5' bed and use it with a goose-neck ball in the bed to pull a 2 horse trailer and it works out really well. The truck is getting old and I'm looking to replace it but I'm finding a lot of 6' beds instead of what I have. Will that make a big difference with pulling the trailer especially when backing?Sonny08

Yes, it will make a difference, especially when backing. Also check for ball placement. On many, the popular B&W has to mount a bit forward of the axle to clear obstructions underneath- so your 6' bed just got effectively "shorter".
