The problem is that there are not a lot of loads coming the return trip direction. So anybody doing the trip won't make any money on the return trip. So you will pay mileage both directions.

Do you have a truck, maybe you can find somebody that would fly in to Palm Sp[rings and drive your rig to Pendalton and then fly home.

Another option is to look into the companies that deliver trailers.  Manufactures of 5th Wheels, travel trailers, horse trailers all have companies that deliver the trailers across country. Often those drivers are returning home emptyand would be happy to pull something on the return trip.
